Reporting Time & Centre Etiquette

Report at the centre 60 minutes before the shift start time mentioned on the call letter. Gate closure is typically 30 minutes before the shift — late arrival means no entry, no exception. Biometric verification (photograph + signature + thumb impression) is mandatory and is repeated when you leave the lab.

After CBT-1 — What Comes Next?

  1. CBT-1 Result & Normalisation — expected July–August 2026
  2. CBT-2 (post-specific) — tentatively late 2026
  3. Typing Skill Test / Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) — depending on post
  4. Document Verification & Medical Examination
  5. Final merit list & appointment

Quick Diagnostic — Are You CBT-1 Ready?

Take this 10-question diagnostic on the exam pattern, dates, and post structure before you walk into the centre. Honest answers tell you whether you need an extra week of GA revision or an extra hour of reasoning practice.

Quiz data empty after normalization.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. I am unable to download my admit card — what should I do?
First, check that you are using the same Registration Number used in your CEN 07/2025 application and your date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format. If the issue persists, contact your applied RRB region’s helpdesk — contact numbers are listed on each regional RRB page accessible from rrbcdg.gov.in.

Q2. Can the exam city be changed?
No. The exam city was a choice exercised during application. The city slip is informational and final. Reach the centre on time — no centre changes are permitted at this stage.

Q3. What if my photograph in the admit card does not match?
Carry the same passport-size photograph you uploaded along with a valid government photo ID. Inform the invigilator at the centre — they will verify against your application record.

Q4. Is the admit card required for CBT-2 as well?
No. A fresh CBT-2 admit card will be issued for shortlisted candidates after CBT-1 results & normalisation.

Q5. Where can I find the official answer key?
RRB releases a provisional answer key after each phase of CBT-1, hosted on rrb.digialm.com with a window for objections (typically Rs. 50 per objection, refunded if upheld).

Final Word

With 63 lakh candidates and only 8,113 vacancies, this is one of the most competitive 10+2-level exams in India today. The shortlist ratio of 1:20 means you need to land in the top 0.13% of your shift to advance to CBT-2. Treat the next ten days as your final calibration window — full-length mocks under shift timing, daily GA revision, and one round of NCERT mental-maths drills. Best of luck.
